He was predeceased by: his parents, Roy Harward, Jr. and Mary Estelle Kimrey Harward; his former wife Nina Joyce Biles Harward; and his siblings, Keith Harward and Patsy Harward Gregory.
He is survived by: his wife Vickie Yow Harward; his children, Wendy Harward of Norwood, Chris Harward (Susan) of Norwood and Jeff Harward (P. J.) of Mooresville; his sister Brenda Harward Wilson of Wadesboro; and his stepchildren, Amy Floyd of Stanfield, April Athey (Kevin) of Lexington and Ashley Furr (Jennie) of Stanfield. He is also survived by six step grandchildren and seven step great grandchildren.
