She was predeceased by: her parents, Floyd Elworth Melton and Margaret Nora Dempsey Melton; her husband Rev. D. O. Lingafelt; and her great grandchild Oakley Smith. She is survived by: her children, Keith Lingafelt, Kathy L. Brinson and Kenneth Lingafelt; her grandchildren, Rebecca, Chris Hills, Kristi, Jeff Smith, Charity L. Lingafelt, Chad, Jessica Lingafelt, Kyle, Brittany Lingafelt, Melissa Lingafelt and MaKenzie Lingafelt; her great grandchildren, Skylar Smith, Delaney Smith, Jackson Hills, Daisy Ross, Olivia Ross, Katie Lingafelt, Clark Lingafelt, Conor Lingfelt and Hudson Lingafelt; and her sisters, Thelma M. Morrison and Wanda M. McGee.
