It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Bealus Alonzo Smith Jr. (Stanfield, North Carolina), who passed away on April 8, 2025, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. As we bid farewell to this cherished soul, solace is taken in the memories held dear — the laughter shared, the wisdom imparted, the moments of quiet reflection in their presence. Though Bealus Alonzo may no longer walk among us, his spirit lives on in the echoes of his kindness, the warmth of his embrace, and the light of his enduring love.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Bealus Smith, Sr. and Della Tucker; and his son Russ. He is survived by: his wife Phyllis; his daughter Charlotte (Jim Voisinet); his granddaughter Christine (Daulton Cockerell); and his great grandchild Margaux Cockerell.
A funeral service was held on Friday, April 11th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the First Baptist Church (200 NC-200, Stanfield, NC 28163).
