With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Elijah Kent Burton of Staley, North Carolina, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on February 23, 2025 at the age of 15. He was predeceased by: his grandparents, Eddie and Glenda Burton. He is survived by: his parents, Justin Burton and Jamie Carraher Burton; his sister Ellie Burton; his grandparents, Lisa Carraher of Ramseur and Jim Carraher of Seagrove; his great-grandparent Eleanor Carraher; his aunts and uncles, Charlie, Erin Lemons of Bear Creek, Jason and Jessica Burton of Staley; and his cousins, Jeremiah Burton, Hannah Grace Burton, Easton Lemons and Cheyenne Lemons.
The lying in state will be held on Friday, February 28th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Loflin Funeral Home (147 Coleridge Rd, Ramseur, NC 27316). Visitation will be held on Friday, February 28th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the same location. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 1st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Bennett Baptist Church (68 Bonlee Rd, Bear Creek, NC 27208).
