He was predeceased by: his parents, Marvin Scotton and Addie Pugh Scotton; and his siblings, Hampton Scotton (Edna), Eunice Wicker (Donald) and Shirley Hughes (Floyd).
He is survived by: his wife Faye Dorman Scotton; his children, Lisa Canoy (Mark) and Tim Scotton (Renita); his grandchildren, Stephanie Kearns (Forrest), Sarah Gooch (Sawyer), Brandi Ketchum (Scott), Josh Canoy and Aaron Canoy; his great grandchildren, McKinley and Connor; and his siblings, Rev. Delmar Scotton (Betty), Frances Martin (Bob) and Linda Kimrey (Wayne).
