It is with great sadness that we announce the death of David Stanley Dodson of Staley, North Carolina, born in Alamance, North Carolina, who passed away on October 14, 2023, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his wife Sandra Oakley Dodson; his mother Margaret S. Johnson; his uncle Franklin; and his aunt Marjorie "Pete" Langley. He is survived by: his children, Stan Dodson (Sloan) of High Point, Lisa Dodson Kidd (Ritchie) of Coleridge and Dr. Julian Dodson (Rebecca Ellis Dodson) of Pullman, WA; his sisters, Carolyn Mills and Susan Rice; his cousins, Rosa Lee Langley Allred and Boyd F. Langley; his grandchildren, Katelyn Kidd Craven (Nick), Caleb Kidd (Chandler), Corbin Dodson, Carmen Dodson, Rory Dodson and Riley Dodson; and his great grandchildren, Garrett Craven, Callie Craven, Salem Scout Craven, Winston Kidd and Madalyn Kidd. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
