With heavy hearts, we announce the death of David Oakley of Staley, North Carolina, born in Alamance, North Carolina, who passed away on August 6, 2021 at the age of 69. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Julian James and Cynthia Gertrude Sharpe Oakley; and his brother James Keister Oakley. He is survived by: his daughters, Julia Barnette of Wilmington and Jami Braswell of Raleigh; and his sister Sandra Dodson of Staley. He is also survived by seven grandchildren.
