With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Betty Jo Cheek Lackey of Staley, North Carolina, who passed away on February 5, 2022 at the age of 88. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Loren and Nannie York Cheek; her husband Robert "Bobby" Lackey; and her brothers, Sonny Cheek and Robert Loren Cheek, Jr. (Betty).
She is survived by: her children, Place, Kids R Us, Mike Lackey (Robin) and Tony Lackey (Carol); her grandchildren, Christy Gilland (Darrell), Chris Frazier (Ashleigh), Travis Frazier (Ana), Corbit Lackey (Kim) and Ryan Lackey (Holly); her great grandchildren, Cody, Ashley Trotter, Ally, Kenney Houston, Amelia, Jesse Lackey, Mattingly, Sophie and Brayden Frazier; and her siblings, Frances Matthews, Margie Brooks and Larry Cheek (Shirley).
