He is survived by: his sons, Gilbert S. Cook III (Jennifer) of Crouse, NC and Shane Derrick Cook of Davis; his sister Odessa Jones (Roger); and his nieces and nephews, Donald, Daniel Matthews, Casey Cook Byrum and Jennifer Cook Simpson.
