It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Abbie Gaynor Gaskill Peppers of Stacy, North Carolina, who passed away on August 22, 2020, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Leon Gaskill and Edith Gaskill; her husband Joseph Willis Peppers; and her brother Doity Gaskill (Joyce Gaskill). She is survived by: her children, Clara Jo Pittman (David) of Stacy and Leon Peppers (Mary) of Stacy; her sister Linda Dixon (Elijah Dixon, Jr.) of Newport; her grandchildren, Jody Peppers (Joyce) of Stacy, Jonathan Peppers (Kim) of Stacy, Joanna Pittman of Stacy, Britney Pittman of Stacy and Ryan Lawrence of Stacy; her great grandchildren, Kenli, Karsyn, Tyler Peppers, Garrison and Sydney Lawrence; her stepgreat-grandchildren, Ava and Arin Piner; and also, Teresa Salter of Atlantic and Dr. James Crosswell.

In keeping with the CDC guidelines pertaining to the Coronavirus, those who are ill or at-risk (elderly, immune-compromised) are encouraged to stay home.
