He was predeceased by: his parents, Velvis Hollifield and Kate Hollifield; his wife Janice; his siblings, Benny, Bill Hollifield, Anna Mae Grindstaff and Polly Lichtenhahn; and his granddaughters, Lydia and Leeann Miller.
He is survived by: his children, Sam Hollifield (Pam) of Green Mountain, NC, Johnny Hollifield (Denece) of Nebo, NC, Sherri Gouge (Rodney) of Ledger, NC and Mandy Hollifield of Spruce Pine, NC; his grandchildren, Lacey Jones (Aaron) of Bakersville, NC, Jake Hollifield of Arden, NC, Zach Hollifield (Emily) of Fairfax, VA, Chelsea Allman (Zebadiah) of Cullowhee, NC, Levi Hollifield of Marion, NC, Laura Honeycutt (Fayte) of Johnson City, TN, Austin Gouge of Dysartsville, NC and Aaron Gouge of Ledger, NC; his great grandchildren, Ava, London and Ridge Jones; and his grandchildren, Jaxton Hollifield, Zayleigh, Charlotte, Wallace Allman and Honeycutt.
