He was predeceased by: his parents, Rev. Joe Pittman and Lucy Hollifield Pittman; and his sister Joann Pittman Morgan. He is survived by: his wife Lynn Smith Pittman; his son Jared Pittman of Spruce Pine, NC; his grandchildren, Athan Pittman and Adelaide Pittman; and his siblings, Kermit Pittman of Spruce Pine, NC and Jama Geouge (Paul) of Hudson, NC.
