He was predeceased by: his parents, Charlie Young and Carrie Willis Young. He is survived by: his wife Sandra Tipton Young; his stepdaughter Kristal Riddle (Scotty Stevens); his stepgrandson Kyle Hyder (Makayla); and his stepgreat-grandson Atlas Rook Hyder.
Rodney Alvin Young, age 82, of the Ledger community in Bakersville, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, February 15, 2025 after a twenty-two year battle with Parkinson's disease.
