He was predeceased by: his parents, Howard Burleson and Mary Burleson of Buladean; and his wife Edna Burleson. He is survived by: his daughter Patricia Hughes (J. R. Hughes) of Spruce Pine; his grandchildren, Amanda Nance and Jamie Hughes (Coty Edwards); his great grandchild Hayden Nance; and his brothers, Ronald Burleson (Cindy Burleson) of Cane Creek, Larry Burleson of Buladean and Gary Burleson of Tennessee.
