He is survived by: his mother Lois Freebourn; his wife Brenda; his grandchildren, Taylor, Logan, Reagan and Ethan; and his siblings, Don, Phillip and Rita. He is also survived by his wife, children, grandchildren.
In 2002, he received the prestigious and rarely presented King Cheetah award from Brown & Brown for his outstanding service and contributions to the company.
