It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Mildred Ledford (Spruce Pine, North Carolina), who passed away on December 25, 2021, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Dave Stewart and Laura Sparks Stewart; her husband Edward Ledford; her sons, Eddie and Johnny Ledford; and her granddaughter Janie Buchanan.

She is survived by: her children, Rhonda Wheeler (Howard) of Spruce Pine, David Ledford (Linda) of Spruce Pine and Scott Ledford (Suzanne) of Elk Park; and her siblings, Betty Pittman of Lenoir, Bobby Sparks of Lenoir and Billy Stewart of Lenoir. She is also survived by eighteen grandchildren; many great grandchildren, and one great great grandchild.
