He was predeceased by: his parents, Alex Elsaesser and Sara Boone Elsaesser; his brother Charles Elsaesser; and his great grandchild Maddox Elsaesser. He is survived by: his sons, Charles Elsaesser (Serena) of Spruce Pine and Chris Elsaesser (Tiffany) of Spruce Pine; his grandchildren, Seth Elsaesser (Andrea) of Spruce Pine, Zach Elsaesser (Keylee) of Burnsville, Emily Elsaesser of Spruce Pine, Peyton Elsaesser (Chris Pallick) of Burnsville, Ellijah Stamey of Spruce Pine, Erin Elsaesser of Spruce Pine, Alex Serrano of Spruce Pine and Adam Elsaesser of Burnsville; his great grandchildren, Zaylee Elsaesser and Emerie Pallick; and his sisters, Lisa Funk (Dave) of Falcon, CO and Leslie Slate (Dan) of Spruce Pine. He is also survived by nieces, nephews and cousins.
