She was predeceased by: her parents, Matt Forbes and Mae Forbes; her husband Nelson Dee Cox; and her siblings, J. D., George, Charles and Jenny.
She is survived by: her sons, Wade Cox (Geneva) of Drexel and Jimmy Dewayne Cox (Lisa) of Spruce Pine; and her sisters, Linda McKinley (Tommy) of Spruce Pine and Willie Fisher of Marion. She is also survived by seven grandchildren, seventeen great grandchildren and six great great grandchildren.
