She was predeceased by: her parents, Joe Fisher and Nellie Carpenter; her husband Dennis Yelton; and her son Keith Yelton. She is survived by: her siblings, Lorene Cuthbertson of Crossnore, Lillian Hughes of Spruce Pine, Leona Pendley of Spruce Pine, Leonard Fisher (Doris) of Spruce Pine and Lloyd Fisher (Rosie) of Spruce Pine; her grandson Kayden Yelton of Morganton; and her close friend Margaret Watkins of Marion. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
