He was predeceased by: his parents, Roe Hughes and Bertha Tipton Hughes. He is survived by: his children, Rhonda Siemerling of New Park, PA and Eugene Hughes of Concord, NC; his grandchildren, Valerie, Christopher, Jesse and Amber; and his sisters, Joyce and Betty. He is also survived by eight great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Saturday, January 18th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Webb Funeral Home (128 Roan Rd, Spruce Pine, NC 28777). A graveside service was held on Saturday, January 18th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Huntdale Memorial Cemetery.
