He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Victor Elliott and Fleeta Lee Elliott; and his daughter Rosalie Carpenter. He is survived by: his wife Anita Elliott; his children, Louann Elliott of Spruce Pine, NC and Russel Carpenter of Spruce Pine, NC.; his grandsons, Vic Burleson (Heather Burleson) of Bakersville, NC and Grant Burleson of Spruce Pine, NC; his brother Brad Elliott of Hendersonville, NC.; and his great grandchildren, Autumn, Jimmy, Brook, Sadie Burleson of Atoka, TN, Colton, Luke, Cadence Burleson of Bakersville, NC, Logan, Jared and Caleb of Spruce Pine, NC..
