We are sad to announce that on November 7, 2023, at the age of 91, Kathleen Hoilman Buchanan (Spruce Pine, North Carolina) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Wiley Forbes and Texie Woody Forbes; her former husband Jack Hoilman; her husband Rev. J. Astor Buchanan; her son-in-law Arthur Crowder; and her stepson Jimmy Buchanan.
She is survived by: her daughters, Dellie Crowder of Spruce Pine and Marie Hall (Rick) of Spruce Pine; her grandchildren, Amanda Briggs (Larry), Mark Crowder (Toni), Matthew Crowder (Kim) and Arthur Crowder, Jr.; her great grandchildren, Ashley Hughes (Kevin) and Andrew Crowder; her great great grandchildren, Lindsay and Grayson Hughes; her sisters, Lucille Lanning (Robert) of Nebo, Anna Lee Ledford of Jonesborough, TN, Jennieve Cook of Marion and Irene Fisher of Spruce Pine; and her stepchildren, David Buchanan, Norma McKinney, Jay Buchanan, Gwen Buchanan and Eddie Buchanan. She is also survived by her family and particularly with her grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.
