He was predeceased by: his grandparents, Leonard, Chloe Hughes and Jerry Sparks; his great-grandparent Mary Sue Hollifield; and his uncles, David Sparks and Mike Hughes.
He is survived by: his parents, Tim Hughes of Spruce Pine and Candace Sparks of Spruce Pine; his daughters, Winsley and Willow Hughes; his brothers, Adam Hughes (Breeanna) of Burnsville and Brandon Hughes of Spruce Pine; his grandmother Alyce Owens of Spruce Pine; and his aunts and uncles, Steve Hughes (Rhonda) of Myrtle Beach, SC, Scotty Hughes of Spruce Pine, Christy Hoilman (Brian) of Spruce Pine, Betty and John Calloway of Newland. He is also survived by several aunts, uncles, cousins, one niece and two nephews.
