It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of John Johnson (Spruce Pine, North Carolina), who passed away on September 21, 2020, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Dewey S Johnson and Shelton Braswell Johnson; and his siblings, Ruby Johnson, Mabel Pascoe, Bill Johnson and Nils Johnson.

He is survived by: his wife Emma Jean Buchanan Johnson; and his children, Pandora Riggs, Curtis, Jeff and Brian Johnson. He is also survived by five grandchildren, four great grandchildren, and many other relatives, friends.

In lieu of flowers, the family encourages donations to your personal favorite charities and random acts of kindness in honor of the life of John Richard Johnson.
