He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence Burleson and Carrie Burleson; and his siblings, Joann Buchanan and David "Buddy" Burleson. He is survived by: his daughters, Amanda (David Buchanan) of Spruce Pine and Jenny (Jason Millsaps) of Spruce Pine; his grandchildren, Melissa (Ryan Bryant), Tiffany Buchanan, Josh Buchanan, Dakoda Millsaps and Layton Millsaps; and his great grandchildren, Timothy, Raelynn and Mylan.
