With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Janette Y. Grindstaff (Spruce Pine, North Carolina), who passed away on December 28, 2019 at the age of 92. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Jess Young and Jettie Duncan Young. She is survived by: her children, John Charles Grindstaff of Elizabethton, TN, Charlene Phillips (Tommy) of Spruce Pine and Crystal Pittman (Jeff) of Greenwood, SC; her grandchildren, Corey Canipe (Lyndsey) of Roanoake, VA, Carey Presnell of Asheville, Nickki Edwards of Fletcher, Candace Downey (Joe) of Black Mountain, Caleb Pittman (Ashley) of Abbeville, SC and Ayla Snead (Edward) of Greenwood, SC; and her great grandchildren, Ryan, Riley, Jordon, Shelby, Sapharia and Olivia.
In lieu of flowers the family request that memorial donations be made to Hospice and Palliative Care of the Blue Ridge, 236 Hospital Drive, Spruce Pine, NC 28777.
