He was predeceased by: his parent Thomas Russell; his wife Clarissa Virginia Haynes Miller; and his siblings, Jack Miller, Ralph Miller, Rexie Atkins, Hariett Wilson and Mae Parker.
He is survived by: his parent Hattie Bell Miller; his children, Dennis Miller of Spruce Pine, Teresa Miller of Spruce Pine, Sarah Ledford (Greg) of Bakersille, Loeita Whitson (Randy) of Burnsville and Donald Miller of Spruce Pine; his siblings, Tommy Lee Miller (Carolyn) of Spruce Pine and June Atkins of Marion; and his grandchildren, James Hall, Ashley Whitson, Alisha Hall, Addison Towle, Kristen Jenkins, Kenneth Miller, Lauren Miller, Cameron Miller and Michael Whitson.
