He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul Marcus and Belle Wiseman Marcus; his half-siblings, Nancy Burleson and Jerry Wallace; and his great grandchild Journee Hill.
He is survived by: his wife Cynthia Carpenter Marcus; his daughters, Jennifer Marcus and Fran Hoilman (Bobby) of Spruce Pine; his grandchildren, Maria, Bethany, Anna Hoilman, Conor, Ciera Beattie, Karrisa, Korbin and Kaleb Marcus; and his great grandchildren, Emma and Jasper.
