She was predeceased by: her parents, Manley Hoyle and Trula Gillespie Hoyle; her husband Hubert Buchanan; her daughters, Karen Ledford and Kimberly Hoyle; and her siblings, Coy Albert Hoyle, Henry Hoyle, Weldon Hoyle and Pauline Buchanan.
She is survived by: her children, Janice Huskins of Spruce Pine, Joretta Thomas (Jerald) of Newland, Sharon Silvers of Burnsville, Gary of Spruce Pine and Michael Hoyle of Spruce Pine; and her sister Barbara Jean Autrey of Spruce Pine. She is also survived by eight grandchildren and seventeen great grandchildren.
