He was predeceased by: his parents, Howard Miller and Melba Young Miller; and his siblings, George Miller, Judy Hughes, Janice Strange, Joy Ann Frye and Jeanette Letterman.
He is survived by: his sons, Allen Miller (Michelle) of Bakersville and Andy Miller of Spruce Pine; his grandchildren, Mitchell Miller, Madison, Gabriel and Samuel Miller; and his sister Joyce Stamey of Shelby. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
