It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Georgia Thomas McClellan of Spruce Pine, North Carolina, who passed away on March 7, 2024, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Wilburn Thomas and Charlotte Burleson Thomas; her husband Guy McClellan; and her daughter Joyce Burleson. She is survived by: her daughters, Wanda Hoilman (Bob Munday), Mary Carpenter (Bobby) of Newland and Sally Revis (Roger) of Marion; her son-in-law Richard Burleson of Spruce Pine; her grandchildren, Tammy Renfro (Jerry) of Spruce Pine, Guy Burleson (Lisa) of Spruce Pine, Darren Hoilman of Spruce Pine and Michelle Vines (Greg) of Greenville, TN; and her close friend Clarence Gortney. She is also survived by five great grandchildren and one great great grandchild, several nieces and nephews.
