He was predeceased by: his parent Jewell Grindstaff Wilson; his stepfather Lewis Wilson; his siblings, Mike Grindstaff and Donna Huskins; and his grandparents, Luther and Ina Grindstaff.
He is survived by: his wife Doris Grindstaff; his sister Lisa Wilson of Spruce Pine; and his sisters-in-law, Patsy Bowman (Frank), Marie Buchanan and Emma Jean Grindstaff. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews.
A funeral service was held on Wednesday, January 15th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Et Henson Creek Baptist Church (793 Old NC 226, Spruce Pine, NC 28777).
