Frank Forbes Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Frank Forbes (Spruce Pine, North Carolina), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on February 11, 2025 at the age of 89. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Dock Forbes and Hattie Roland Forbes; his son Ricky Van Forbes; his grandchildren, Mindy Grissom and Bradley Scott Biddix; and his siblings, Lucille Burleson (Robert), Rob Forbes (Lorraine), Lilborn Forbes (Judy), Lee Forbes and Ed Forbes (Beulah).
He is survived by: his wife Lillian Burleson Forbes; his children, Jerry Forbes of Spruce Pine, Darrell Forbes (Nancy) of Newdale and Patricia Biddix (Johnny) of Marion; his grandchildren, Chasidy Forbes, Brandy Laws (Matthew), Jeremy Forbes (Randi Jo), Brandon Biddix, Stacy Lamb (Matthew), D. J. Forbes (Catlin) and Kennedy Hendrix (Brooke); and his sister-in-law Freida Thomas Forbes of Virginia. He is also survived by 15 great-grandchildren and 9 great, great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Thursday, February 20th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Estatoe Church of God (3556 Penland Rd, Spruce Pine, NC 28777). A funeral service was held on Thursday, February 20th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
