It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Dorothy Smith (Spruce Pine, North Carolina), who passed away on May 6, 2020, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Jeter Lee and Effie Buchanan Sparks; her husband Beauford Smith; her children, Larry, Chris Smith and Debbie Morris; her great grandchild Natasha Hullett; and her sisters, Peggy Sparks, Marjorie Townsend, Louise Aldridge, Betty Jo Burleson, Agnes Forbes and Anna Mae Wilson.
She is survived by: her siblings, Bruce Sparks (Marie) of Spruce Pine, Gary Sparks of Spruce Pine and Wanda Perkinson of Henderson, NC.. She is also survived by fourteen great grandchildren; and seven great great grandchildren.
