He is survived by: his mother Deborah Hardin Meade of Spruce Pine; his son Dean Meade of Burnsville; and his siblings, Allen Ray of Burnsville, Jerry Lee Meade of Elizabeth City, NC, Walter Wesley Meade of Burnsville and Angela Meade of Spruce Pine.
