The passing of Charles Dellinger of Spruce Pine, North Carolina leaves a void in the hearts of many, as we bid farewell to a loving soul who departed on December 26, 2024 at the age of 81. He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Dellinger and Fannie Ledford Dellinger; and his siblings, Jack Dellinger and Joyce Dayton. He is survived by: his wife Linda Hughes Dellinger; his children, Brad, Susie, Tim, Rachel, Josh and Jennifer; his grandchildren, Brittany, Lauren, Will, Jackson, James, Esme, Jace and Jordan; his great grandchildren, Knox and Nash; his siblings, Shirley Gragg of Newland, Sue Spivey of Weaverville, Patsy Carpenter of Spruce Pine and Jimmy Dellinger of Spruce Pine; his siblings-in-law, Norma Boone, Rick Hughes and Ronnie Hughes; and his friend Jose Garcia. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
A funeral service was held on Tuesday, December 31st 2024 at 5:30 PM at the Mt. Calvary Freewill Baptist Church (86 State Rd 1101, Spruce Pine, NC 28777). A graveside service was held on Wednesday, January 1st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Harris Memorial Cemetery.
