She was predeceased by: her parents, Nellis Lusk and Jencie Burleson; her husband Ray Gunter; her sons, Danny and Bobby Gunter; her son-in-law Richard Gardner; and her siblings, William, Ted, Frank, Ivor, Lena, Opal and Nellie.
She is survived by: her children, Marie Gardner of Spruce Pine, Richard Gunter (Carolyn) of Spruce Pine and Steve Gunter of Spruce Pine; her daughters-in-law, Carolyn Gunter of North Cove and Rose Woodby of Burnsville; and her brother Carl Lusk of Spruce Pine. She is also survived by eleven grandchildren, twenty-two great grandchildren; and twelve great great grandchildren.
