He was predeceased by: his parents, Lucien Grindstaff and Virgie Ledford Grindstaff; his siblings, Van Grindstaff and Violet Hilemon; his son Keith; and his grandson Zack.
He is survived by: his wife Eudena Johnson Grindstaff; his children, Dean Grindstaff (Samantha), Sandie Grindstaff and Sharon Gillespie (Tim); and his grandchildren, Andra, Anthony, Aaron, Alex, Ayla, Chase, Cole, Jordan and Katelynn. He is also survived by numerous great-grandchildren.
