He is survived by: his wife Shirley Parsley McKinney; his son Scott McKinney (Angie) of Spruce Pine; his grandson Austin McKinney (Nicole) of Spruce Pine; his great grandchildren, Charli Mae McKinney and Dallin McKinney; his sisters, Loraine Campbell (Joe) of Spruce Pine and Irene Poteat of Hickory; and his nephews, Cody Hinkle and Kenneth Woody (Joyce).
