It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Bobby Lee Henson of Spruce Pine, North Carolina, who passed away on April 2, 2024, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, James Smith and Wilma Smith; his wife Irene; and his brothers, Richard Smith and David Smith.
He is survived by: his sisters, Jean Reithknecht of Watsonville, CA, Joyce Hall of Cleveland, OK and Barbara Pendley (Phillip) of Burnsville, NC; his son Bobby Leon Henson (Lisa) of York, SC; his stepson Tony Pittman (Laura) of Spruce Pine, NC; and his grandchildren, Leah Long (Joshua) of Midland, NC, Robert Lee Henson (Cami) of Charlotte, NC, Cole Pittman of Spruce Pine, NC and Kyle Pittman of Spruce Pine, NC. He is also survived by three great-grandchildren, and many loving nieces and nephews.
