He is survived by: his wife Doris Woody Silver; his daughters, Kim Burleson (Steve) of Newland and Crystal Braswell (Scott) of Newland; his grandchildren, Randy, Justin, Chesney Braswell and Bentley Burleson; and his siblings-in-law, Wade Woody (Rosa), Tommy Woody of Spruce Pine, Glenda Lipps of Newland, Brenda Hodges (Benny) of Newland and Pat Silver of Spruce Pine.
