With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Allen Buchanan of Spruce Pine, North Carolina, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on November 4, 2024 at the age of 66. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his mother Hattie Burleson Buchanan. He is survived by: his wife Sherri Barnett Buchanan; his father Rev. Vernon Buchanan of Bakersville; and his brother Chris Buchanan of Bakersville. He is also survived by loving nieces, nephews.
A memorial service was held on Saturday, November 9th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Bear Creek Baptist Church (793 Old NC 226, Spruce Pine, NC 28777).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to Hospice and Palliative Care of the Blue Ridge or Mitchell Baptist Church.
