She is survived by: her husband James Thigpen Jr. of Spring Lake; her daughter Patricia Blakey of Benton Harbor; her uncle Albert Franklin (Sonya) of Minneapolis; her brother Thomas Carter (Mary) of Dallas; and her friends, Lucille Dixon, Patricia McQueen and Laura Shawl.
