He was predeceased by: his parents, Lemon Cornwallis and Lillian Marie Strickland; his siblings, Lillian Marie Harrell, Gladys Strickland, Jack, William (Bill) and Lemon Jr. Strickland; and his daughters, Debra Strickland and Shannon Sloan.
He is survived by: his wife Bettie Tench Strickland; and his children, Thad (Nancy), Micheal, Jimmy Strickland (Mary Anne), David Charles Finch and Michelle Stroup (Brad). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, special community members, extended family and friends.
