It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Shirley Hein of Spring Lake, North Carolina, who passed away on May 11, 2024, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her husband Floyd Earl Hein; and her parents, Hoyt Elvington and Ruth Elvington. She is survived by: her children, Walton Joseph "Joe" Hein (Tammy), Steven Floyd Hein and Sharon Hein Kreps (Glenn); and her pet Daisy. She is also survived by five grandchildren, six great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Shirley's honor to Glenn A. Kiser Hospice House, 1229 Statesville Blvd, Salisbury, NC 28144.
