He was predeceased by: his parents, Earle Getchell and Florence Getchell (Murphy); and his sister Frances Woodbury. He is survived by: his children, Timothy Getchell of Spring Lake, NC, Todd Getchell of Spring Lake, NC, Tammie Lewis of Spring Lake, NC and Penny LaFord of New Hampshire; and his brothers, James Getchell of Maine and Dana Getchell of California. He is also survived by eleven grandchildren, and twelve great-grandchildren.
