He is survived by: his wife Sharon Allen Edwards; his children, Melvin Edwards, Jr. (Lenise) and Desiree Edwards; and his siblings, Emily Myers, Valerie Byson (Travis), Gennell Smalls, Machel Williams, Donna Green, Dorine Edwards, Rodney Cobbs, Thomas Bowens (Rosalind), Corey Edwards and Shawn Smalls. He is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and many other relatives of his large family.
