He was predeceased by: his parents, Lindsey E. Simpson and Mary Lucille McDonald Simpson; his son Joseph Simpson; and his grandson Ryan VanHentenryck. He is survived by: his wife Laraine Simpson; his children, Gloria Williams (Jamie) of Ohio, Debbie Scott (Dallas) of Apex, Lindsey C. Simpson, Jr. (Marcyia) of Indiana, Louis VanHentenryck (Robin) of Indiana and Michael VanHentenryck (Christine) of Connecticut; and his siblings, Tommy Simpson of Indiana, Jerry Simpson of Indiana, Joe Simpson of Indiana, Rosie Carlton of Michigan, Peggy Olmstead of Indiana and Linda Simpson of Kentucky. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren.
