He was predeceased by: his parents, Leo Oscar Lovett and Lillian Lovett. He is survived by: his brother Samuel Lovett; his children, Joshua Lovett (Alicia), Samara Lovett (Scott Bukoski), Leanne Lovett (Yazan Dughaimat), Samantha Tate (Andre Tate) and Renee Lovett (Emilio Bell); his sister Mary Jo Roberts of Memphis, TN; his nephews, Michael and Allen Roberts; his uncles, Tom Lovett and Robert Lovett; and his aunt Betty Jones (Samuel Jones).

Visitation was held on Thursday, January 2nd 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Adcock Funeral Home and Crematory (2226 Lillington Hwy, Spring Lake, NC 28390). A funeral service was held on Friday, January 3rd 2025 from 12:00 PM to 12:30 PM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Friday, January 3rd 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Lafayette Memorial Park (2301 Ramsey St, Fayetteville, NC 28301).
