As John departs from our midst, his spirit ascends to join the cosmic dance of stars, a shimmering constellation of memories that will forever grace the night sky of the hearts of those who loved John. Though John may no longer walk beside us, his legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.
He was predeceased by: his brother Ernie Mantzouris; and his parents, Louis Anastasios Mantzouris and Sieglende Mantzouris. He is survived by: his wife Karen Mazarick Mantzouris; his children, Stephen John Mantzouris (Kristina) of Cary, NC and Katharine Mantzouris (Shannon Johnson) of Baltimore, MD.; his grandchildren, Thomas and Karina Mantzouris; and his cousin Karen.
A memorial service will be held in his honor, and in lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the UNC-CH Cancer Center Foundation, PO Box 1050, Chapel Hill, NC 27514.
